Medicare Supplement Insurance Plan C

Plan C covers most of the costs you’d have to pay for Medicare-approved medical expenses. It offers all the benefits of Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans A and B including:

• Hospitalization: pays Medicare Part A coinsurance plus coverage for 365 additional days after Medicare benefits end
• Medical expenses: pays Medicare Part B coinsurance—generally 20% of Medicare-approved expenses—or copayments for hospital outpatient services
• Blood: pays for the first 3 pints of blood each year
• Hospice care: pays Medicare Part A coinsurance

In addition to the basic benefits, Plan C also provides coverage for:

• Medicare Part A and Part B deductibles
• Skilled nursing facility care coinsurance
• Foreign travel emergency medical help (up to plan limits)

Plan C coverage is limited to Medicare-approved charges. This means you may be responsible for paying additional out-of-pocket expenses if your doctors charge more than what is allowed by Medicare.
